Floorplan app MagicPlan, which was already an incredible piece of tech, just got better.
The current v4.0 experience still required you to stand in the middle of a room and mark out the corners and doors in the 'augmented reality' view on the phone's screen. The problem with that is it required fiddling and guesswork to accurately pinpoint unsighted corners.
Thanks to Google embedding infrared sensors into a new prototype phone called Project Tango, MagicPlan allows you to walk up to a blind corner, because Project Tango can 'see' height and depth.
The mind boggles.
