In what is probably the most fiddly interactive chart of all time, Rightmove gives anyone the ability to see UK house price rises (or falls) by any time period over the last decade and a bit.
The top of the infographic shows the % price change over the period, whereas the bottom half of the screen acts as a control cum price index cum interesting factoids clicky things.
What is stark is how every area in the country was up every year before 2008. And after 2008 it is pretty much only London that has done well.
The graphic also has no bearing with your individual home's price performance, as is always the case with 'price trends'. But fun to compare areas none-the-less.
